Curierul National: Agricover Group turnover rose by 20.2% last year, to 402.7 million lei

Agricover Group's turnover increased by 20.2% last year, to 402.7 million lei, compared to the previous year, when it registered 335 million lei, while profit rose by 68%, from 7.5 million lei to 12.6 million lei. Among the divisions and companies that make up Agricover Group, the largest increase in turnover was registered by Agricover Cereale (36 million lei more in 2009, as against 2008), reaching 238.2 million lei, as a result of the increase in the volume of grain sold.
As regards Agricover Distribuţie - the division for distribution of inputs for agriculture (seeds, fertilisers, phyto-sanitary products), it also reported an increase in turnover, from 90.1 million lei in 2008 to 140.4 million lei last year, due to the development of the client portfolio, of the double volumes of fertilisers sold, as compared to the previous year etc.

Procentually, Agricover Credit IFN had the largest increase (430%) in 2009, as against 2008, the year of its launch on the market, reaching a turnover of 9.4 million lei. Last year, Agricover NBFI Credit granted the agricultural producers financings amounting to 123.5 million lei, compared to 57.5 million lei in 2008.
