The Romet group, producer of water and agricultural equipment, controlled by businessman Constantin Toma, is estimating a 10-15 percent increase in business on the irrigation, sewerage and water treatment segment, in spite of the financial crisis affecting most local producers.
“We are counting on growth in the water equipment field, as programs financed with European funds are just now beginning,” Toma told Business Standard. However, the company will have to consider a 50 percent drop in its profit margin in 2009.
