Agricultural producers will benefit from a program similar to “First Home,” recently initiated by the government, which consists in issuing certificates of deposit for storing production in licensed silos, with which they will be able to obtain bank loans, said Minister of Finance Gheorghe Pogea.
The government plans to alter an emergency ordinance that will allow farmers to use certificates of deposit as loan collaterals. The certificates are guaranteed by the National Agricultural Guarantee Fund, which will be capitalized by the Ministry of Finance with €10 million.
