European Commissioner Designate for Agriculture Dacian Ciolos told the hearings in the specialist committee of the European Parliament on Friday that, by the end of this year, he intended to present, in a report of the European Commission, the main guidelines of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) after 2013.
Answering a question asked by Eurodeputy Maria Nedelcheva, of the European People’s Party, Dacian Ciolos made it clear that the EU executive, in 2011, were to present the CAP schedule proper for the time span after 2013. According to Ciolos, European farmers need predictability and stability, whereas European tax payers want their money to be managed efficiently. (Financiarul)
