New job: Consultant in crop production - Agronomist

AgroAdvice SRL is looking for 9 agronomists (experts in crop production) for a new impartial international agricultural advisory service in Romania.

The expected starting date for the consultants is 1st June.

About us: AgroAdvice SRL is new impartial agricultural advisory service. Our clients are professional Romanian farms run by Romanian or Foreign managers. The advisory service is a joint venture between the Danish Agricultural Advisory Service (3,500 professional staff) and Agricover SA – the Romanian agribusiness company (1,000 staff).

The consultants will work on a full-time basis and have professional support from Denmark. There are two local offices: Scinteia (Ialomita) and Mirosi (Arges)

Counties: Arges, Dambovita, Olt, Dolj, Teleorman, Ialomita, Calarasi, Ilfov, Giurgiu, Braila, Buzau

Duties and responsibilities

• Providing consultation and expert advice to clients
• Visiting clients to identify and evaluate their technical and/ or business requirements
• Collecting and analysing data, crop yields and financial reports to measure performance
• Identifying agricultural production problems in the field and propose solutions
• Organising presentations, demonstrations, training and farm walks for clients

Your qualifications

• Education as agronomist
• Knowledge on agricultural machinery and economic aspects of crop production
• At least 5 years practical experience in crop production
• Good and updated knowledge on crop growing techniques and technology.
• Good knowledge in English language.
• Computer literacy
• Driving license
• Experience from other EU-countries is an asset
• Command of German, French, Dutch or other foreign languages is preferable
